  • Both homeowners and renters are eligible. Renters must have consent from their landlord.

Eligible Technologies
  • Heat Pumps: Mini-splits, multi-splits, and central heat pumps listed on Natural Resources Canada’s database.
  • Electric Furnaces and Boilers: For primary space heating.

Documentation Needed
  • Quote from a participating installer with itemized costs.
  • Proof of current heating system (e.g., photos or receipts).
  • Electricity utility account number (FortisBC, BC Hydro, or municipal utility).
  • For homeowners, proof of homeownership and primary residence.
  • For renters, additional documentation from the landlord may be required.

Installation and Insurance
  • Installations must be performed by a participating installer.
