Learn more about heat pumps

What types of heat pumps do you offer?

1Click specializes in cold-climate air-source heat pumps that have been tested and proven to be reliable, even in our cold Canadian winters. We offer both central ducted heat pump systems and ductless mini-split heat pumps. Our mini-split heat pumps are available in single-zone or multi-zone configurations to suit your needs.

What is the difference between a single-zone and multi-zone heat pump?

Single-zone mini-split heat pumps have one indoor air distribution unit, generally called a “head”, that attaches to a single outdoor unit which looks similar to a standard air conditioner. Multi-zone mini-split heat pumps have multiple indoor units or heads that attach to a single outdoor unit. Choosing between the two depends on your home. Single-zone units are designed for keeping a small space or a specific room at a single temperature. Multi-zone units can serve more than one area independently and at different temperatures, making them flexible whole-home solutions.

Are electric water heaters better than gas?

There are a few reasons why switching to an electric water heater is better than gas. Gas water heaters are typically more expensive than electric ones, use more energy, and don’t last as long. In comparison, electric water heaters are generally cheaper, use less energy, and last longer. Win-win-win! Thought natural gas was the cheapest fuel source? Think again. Watch our video to find out why natural gas is not as cheap as you think.
