The program is ending to allow Efficiency Nova Scotia to focus on larger rebates available through other programs like the Home Energy Assessment, Moderate Income Rebates, and Oil to Heat Pump Affordability program. These offer more support for energy upgrades. 2. What’s the last day to apply for the Home Heating System Rebates program? The final day to apply is December 31, 2025. I already installed a heat pump - can I still get a rebate? Yes, so long as you submit your application within 180 days of your heat pump being installed. You can apply through the Heating System Rebates Program until December 31, 2025. After that, rebates will only be available through programs that include a home energy assessment, such as the Home Energy Assessment and Moderate Income programs. If you heat with oil and meet a few other requirements, you may qualify for the Oil to Heat Pump Affordability Program, which doesn't require an energy assessment. 4. What if I miss the deadline for the Home Heating System Rebates? If you don’t submit a complete application by December 31, 2025, you won’t be able to get a rebate.
